UF/IFAS Extension Pesticide Applicator CEU Day August 21

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM EDT (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM Central)

An opportunity for licensed pesticide applicators to earn CEUs will be held August 21, 2012 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDT or 8:00 – 3:00 Central Tiem. An applicator will be able to earn up to 6 FDACS-approved CEUs in various categories for pesticide licensing recertification credit. The event will be conducted via Video Conference from participating UF/IFAS county extension offices, several main campus sites and research and education centers. If you’re interested in attending, please contact your local site host for more details.  Some locations will be providing a lunch and will charge a small registration fee to cover expenses of the event.

2:00-2:25         Seed bank dynamics and long term integrated weed management (Ramon Leon)

2:25-2:50         Herbicide injury to vegetables from off-target sprays (Peter Dittmar)

3:00-3:25         Integrated management of cogongrass (Greg MacDonald)

3:25-3:50         New and/or difficult to control upland, wetland, and aquatic invasive plants (Ken Langeland)

3:50-4:00         Evaluations and issue CEU attendance forms (Fred Fishel)
