Food Safety and Quality Program

ServSafe® Food Manager Certification Training, UF/IFAS Extension Office Bay County.

This program targets Restaurant Managers and Food Handlers. This training enables food managers and staff to offer Florida consumers’ food that is prepared in a clean and safe environment. Cost Training and Exam: $110.00; Training and Exam w/textbook: $165.00. Call 888-232-8723.

Butterfly Gardening Workshop, UF/IFAS Extension Bay County,Cost: None

 June 2, Friday, 9:30am – 12pm, Water Bath Canning:

Basic canning class on preserving foods using the water bath canning method. Each participant will take home a jellied product. RSVP by calling 784-6105 or email bay@ifas.ufl.edu to get your name on list. Registration fee must be received by May 26th. Class is limited to 15. Location: UF/IFAS Extension Bay County, 2728 E. 14th Street, Panama City

 June 3, Saturday, 9am – 12 Noon, Butterfly Gardening Workshop

June 5-9, Monday – Friday, 1:00 – 5:00pm, 2017 Tailgating Workshop:

Youth will learn to safely prepare and grill beef, pork, poultry, and seafood in an outdoor setting. Age 11-18 by September 1, 2016.

Location: UF/IFAS Extension Bay County, 2728 E. 14th Street, Panama City

Cost: $50.00

June 12, Monday, 10:00am – 4:00pm – Camp Counselor Training 

UF/IFAS Extension Bay County, 2728 E. 14th Street, Panama City. Applications are available online at http://bay.ifas.ufl.edu/4-h/4-h-camp-timpoochee/ or at the Extension office. Junior and Senior Counselors MUST complete application, submit acceptable references, attend interview and be able to attend at least one training. Applications are due by June 9, 2017. 

June 26 -30, Monday – Friday, County Camp at Camp Timpoochee:

Campers Age 8 -13 by September 1, 2016. Camp Counselors age 14 + by September 1, 2016. Must attend training. Transportation from the Extension office.

Cost: $275.00, Some scholarships available.

June 28, Wednesday, 8:30am-4pm, ServSafe Managers Training/Certification:
